📺 Google gets in the AI-video game!

You may have read that Google just dropped Lumiere, their new AI video maker that churns out videos based on text prompts. At the present moment, it's all about adorable animals doing funny stuff like roller skating or playing the piano. Unlike other models, Lumiere rocks a unique setup that lets it whip up entire video sequences in one shot, making everything flow smoother. This could become very useful in the future... if the use case extends beyond the cuteness.

🤑  Google Ads boosts campaigns with Gemini AI

Google's new conversational experience in Google Ads with Gemini AI is now available. It helps advertisers create better search campaigns effortlessly. So far, so good as small businesses using the tool see a 42% increase in strong ads and a 12% boost in conversions on average. In the near future, Google even plans to suggest images using generative AI to address transparency concerns. This move reflects the growing interest in generative AI in advertising, expected to impact ad revenue in various industries especially in healthcare, e-commerce, and B2B tech. Check out more here!

The State of Creative Workflow Report

We're kind of geeks when it comes to creative workflow and systems that support scale. So when we ran across Ziflow's 2023 report, we were anxious to read. As expected, it includes some interesting insights into the creative workflow at major companies citing (among other things) that only 28% of survey respondents devote over half their daily workload to actual creative endeavors. Some other items:

  • 88% of surveyed creative teams admit to having compliance issues with their work due to chaotic (or lack of) review processes. 
  • 30% said they’ve absorbed additional project costs due to bad feedback or missed deadlines 
  • 82% of respondents said that at least 5% or more of their creative projects simply end due to bad feedback.

🌐 Mobile Ad Spend Soars: B2B techies, listen up!

Mobile ad spending surged to $362 billion in 2023, climbing 8% from the previous year, fueled by short videos and social apps, as per Data.ai's State of Mobile 2024 report. Projections indicate it'll reach $402 billion in 2024. Besides impacting consumer behavior, these trends are crucial for B2B tech marketers, shaping how they reach and engage with their target audience in an increasingly mobile-centric world.
