The Drag & Drop Newsletter - Edition 49

Hello friends! Welcome to Drag & Drop, the home of high-performance, hassle-free tech marketing. This is a one-stop shop for all things tech, marketing, and what's new at Mighty & True. Let's get this thing started!

🚀 Mighty & True launches the "Uber" for marketing teams

That's right... Our tech marketing scientists have been busily working in the background to reinvent how tech marketers work with an agency partner. And today, we're happy to announce the launch of our new marketing-as-a-service solution! You can read more on this innnovative, industry-breaking model here.

Called by one of our customers, "the Uber for getting high-peformance marketing out the door", this part-tech, part-people based solution provides a fully-trained tech marketing team, along with an automated system to "order" production-ready strategy, creative concept and related assets and campaigns with ease.

And today, we're signing our Drag & Drop readers up for exclusive demos of this new solution, along with a free competitive analysis of one of your top competitor's media strategy (including a view into their current ad creative and messaging) to qualified prospects. Sign up today!

🛠️ Tool of the week

Rive: There are so many great new alternatives to After Effects for the tech marketer these days. We've mentioned using Jitter before but are just trying out the new Lottie competitive format, Rive. Seems like a very good alternative to Lottie. Check it out here.

Other tools we're monitoring

We're continually testing design, low-code, no-code, and AI tools that are making our work high-performance and hassle-free. Check out our shortlist below:

  • Tome: How we craft polished presentations and docs in a flash with AI wizardry.
  • Uizard: Competing with the Relume website builder we love so much, this tool looks pretty useful to create UI inspiration quickly.
  • Uberduck: Want to create rap music to accompany your next campaign. Uberdeck can create epic synthetic singing and rapping vocals for creative marketers.

🤠 Yee-Haw for Cybersecurity!

CrowdStrike's went big this year with their Super Bowl ad "The Future". We love the guts it takes to pull off an ad that costs $6.5 million for every 30 seconds of glory, especially in the B2B space. Beyond the entertainment, it underscores CrowdStrike's critical role in safeguarding businesses from evolving threats and also puts their brand in the sights 115 million people (some of which buy security products). Check out the extended cut here.

🏈 Super Bowl's AI Blitz: Evolving trends and highlights

Wanna impress your friends with your Super Bowl marketing prowess? Statista is the go to for all the latest interactive (and free) Super Bowl stats. We took at look and there's wealth of rabbit holes to go down when looking at how this year performed vs. previous years. Check out the full list of 2024 Super Bowl stats here, then get back to work!

🌟 Google ditches Bard for Gemini.

Gemini...It's at least a more inspirational name than Bard. But the jury is still out on whether or now this just unwrapped version of Google AI is good enough to dethrone ChatGPT. Being a Google shop ourselves, we sure hope it gets there. Check out the well-crafted and energetic launch video here.

📈 B2B Marketplace Surge: Sales doubled in 2023!

B2B isn't supposed to be sold in eCommerce stores, right? Well, the trend for digital transformation in how traditional B2B companies are selling is evolving. According to a recent Digital Commerce 360 study, B2B marketplaces saw a remarkable surge, nearly doubling their sales to reach $224.0 billion and constituting 1.3% of total B2B sales for 2023. Still small but could this be the new era of ecomm for B2B? Looking ahead to 2024, expectations are high for the continued expansion of marketplaces, potentially surpassing 1,000 in the next two years. Learn more.

🌟 Tech marketer prompt of the week

Here's our latest "prompt of the week" using ChatGPT. This week's prompt helps keep tech marketers stay sharp and learn the best way to get engagement.
